      Character: Eda (Her name has been revealed as 'Edith Blackwater', but it's unclear if it's just another alias.)

      Canon point: After the El Baile De La Muerte Arc, or if you prefer to follow the anime, after the OVA, which takes place after the first two seasons.

    « RECORD »

      Disposition:

      - GREEDY: Probably the first thing one learns about Eda is the fact that she doesn't just like money, she adores it. Would literally do whatever is necessary to have it around and has probably has a major fucking hatred of being broke and broke people. (Like having money thrown at her in canon gave her pause, it may actually be a character flaw.) It leads to a... probably lower than average empathy for other people besides herself, especially if it's required to use, destroy, or step over them to get to the bag. It would be hyperbolic to say that she'd kill her own mother for six to seven figures but... it's not out of the question. (And she'd probably do that for free.)

      - FLIPPANT: Most of the time, Eda doesn't seem to take a lot of things seriously. She's a talkative, extroverted, confident lady always with a wise-crack, an observation, a statement, a flirt, an insult, or a joke ready to be deployed. On occasion, her mouth does get her in trouble. Which she typically gets out of by talking or using her gun. She genuinely enjoys parties, mingling, and generally knowing what's going in a place or with people. (If she can get anything out of it, she will gladly gossip and tell others secrets. It's just fun, alright?) She also kinda has a temper, but it's not as bad as others. (We're looking at you, Revy.)

      - ADAPTABLE: Wherever she goes, she's always looking for an angle or some way she can effectively live (and thrive) in whatever place she's in. She is often known for changing appearances and while she doesn't really tamp down that exuberant spirit of hers, she can and will adjust depending on the situation and/or place. (Like posing as a nun, when really she's an arms dealer that acts anything but holy.) While in Roanapur, she wouldn't say she's friends with Revy. She's just close to the action and a reliable partner for jobs. (And drinks, and fights.) She approaches a lot of her friendships that way.

      - CYNICAL: Once upon a time she might've wanted to do questionable or bad things for the good of her nation, but all the idealism was most likely ground out of her a long time ago. She genuinely has little faith in the good in others. If anyone tried to relate to her in a deeper, more emotional way, she would promptly push them away (or they would get beaten up or shot for their trouble). Feelings get in the way of the objective, and more money.


      Suitability: As said before, Eda is adaptable. She thinks the whole sex/intimacy for cash thing is gimmicky as fuck and would totally call herself and other gembonded hoes. Despite all that, it's a very interesting opportunity to her. A new world, the ability to gain powers... there's so much potential to live large and scam people. (She won't like changing into some nasty monster, but what can you do?)

      Condition upon arrival: Aside from a hangover, she's pretty alright.

      Abilities:

      Eda's a baseline human, but she ain't entirely made of squish. (Unless you're talking about the tits.)

      - A Talker, in all Forms: While Eda isn't on polyglot status like Oscar is. She knows a fair bit of different languages and how to speak them in varying fluencies. They are her native English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Thai, and a bit of Russian and Italian.
      - Firearms Expert: Due to her experience in weapon selling, knows quite a bit about guns and knows how to use them effectively.
      - Wheeler and Dealer: Also due to her experience in weapons selling, she knows how to haggle for a price and perhaps rip someone off if she feels like it.
      - Hand to Hand Combat: While not shown much in canon, Eda can fight someone to a standstill. Black Lagoon is the sort of series obstinately based in the real world but has 'action movie' logic. Combat capable people can jump higher, only seem to reload in tense scenes, and if good enough, just one or two can wipe out a small army of armed normal humans.

      Inventory:

      - Her gun, a Glock 17L and few clips of bullets for it.
      - The clothes on her back, which looks to be a nuns habit. (She'll get out of it soon enough.)

      Gembond: Sapphire
      Gem Location: It will be replacing her belly button like a certain main character of a fairly popular cartoon show about gems.
